Eclipsed

We had a partial eclipse here in Iowa. Sure, I could have gone a few hours south and seen a total one, and that would have been cool.

But I work where I live, and I bloom where I am planted.

And it was, honestly, pretty anti-climactic. But that’s alright. Michael and I had fun driving down a bunch of backroads we’d never been on before, chasing clear patches of sky and allowing the cloud-cover to filter the sun enough to actually enjoy it. The weather was cool and we had a perfect breeze. And hanging out together is always better than most anything else.

But while cruising through social media looking at the photos of friends, I noticed an annoying trend among my colleagues in the healing/coaching/self-improvement biz. Oh the whining, the headaches, the dizziness, the nausea . . . On a page dedicated to priestess work, someone asked if anyone else felt sick during the eclipse, and I seriously have no idea how many people responded in the affirmative with laundry lists of complaints. It was in the hundreds by the time I stopped watching.

Look, I know we’re sensitive and it’s our job to be open to the frequencies and changes around us. But if we are not stronger than the influence of Planets, the Sun, the Moon and the Stars, what the hell good are we to our clients who are struggling to get through life on this planet? It’s also our job to model meeting challenges with grace.

How hard is it to set the intention to be open and learn what needs to be learned, but to feel strong, healthy and have a high-level of overall well-being through the process? Ask some angels for help for chrissake.

And fucking Mercury Retrograde? Yeah, it used to be a problem for me, years ago, when I was a newb. Then I got past it, and now it’s neutral. I see it messing with other people, and I can help them get over it, but I don’t let it mess with me anymore.

I’m not trying to be mean, and my aim isn’t to diminish anybody’s experience.

But do we not have tools to help us through this?

And my impression of the lightworkers who are allowing themselves to be mucked about by the influences of our solar system, is that they are attention-seeking people who think that being powerfully affected by this is somehow going to make them look more spiritual. But isn’t it more true that being strong, feeling great, being able to enjoy the process and be of assistance to those who don’t have the tools to help themselves is, in fact, more powerful?

Okay, rant over.

This eclipse cycle is over, and there will be some fall-out and clean up for us to do. It’s our job to welcome and anchor the new frequencies, and help our tribes integrate them and learn to live with them, and use them to grow, heal and shift to higher vibrations. I’m all over it, and I know there are many others who are right there with me. Are you? I hope so, because we can use all the help we can get. Earth is big and there are about 7.5 billion people on it right now, most of whom are only at the start of their awakening journey.

Let’s go sling some Light, people.

Planetary orbits throwing you for a loop? Lost in the stars? I can teach you to float through it all with ease and grace.
