Sound healing can help people manage a huge range of conditions, and increase their overall well-being easily and comfortably; it is also a beautiful complement to palliative care for those in hospice or dying at home. The risks associated with sound healing are . . . well . . . pretty darn low. If you suffer from epilepsy, some of the binaural stuff may not be for you. If you have any metal implants, we want to avoid putting forks on you anywhere near those. Pregnant women might want to avoid certain frequencies around the hips and belly. Basically, as your sound healer, I need to know any and all pre-existing conditions in order to make sure I don’t do something to put you at risk. Vibration is powerful medicine. The more we communicate, the better off we’ll both be. Sound therapies can be a fantastic addition to your wellness routines, in addition to helping to manage on-going conditions.
That said, sound healing is not a substitute for any medical therapies or medications you may currently be on. Keep taking your meds and work with your doctor if the goal is to stop taking them. There are some conditions where we can reduce or eliminate medications, but let’s talk about it, and have a strong plan that your medical practitioner is aware of. Sound therapies can offer powerful support for whatever medical issues you might be facing, but please, don’t make any drastic changes, and let’s work with your doctors.
Every person is different. Sound healing can be like a miracle for one person, but their next door neighbor might find no benefit in it at all. If you are drawn to it, it is probably something that can and will help you in ways we might not know yet. If I give you homework, you’ll have more improvement faster if you do it. If you don’t, you’ll have baby steps. Not everyone experiences sound healing in the same way. For some it is transformational; for others, it’s merely pleasant or relaxing.
There are downloadable sound therapy recordings for sale on this site. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while listening to any sound therapy recordings. Most of the ones for sale here are relaxing, and some help you sleep. Use them only in a safe, quiet place where you can sit still and close your eyes. If you suffer from epilepsy or any neurological issues, if you struggle with depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, PTSD or other similar trauma-related conditions, be sure to consult your phychiatrist/psychologist/therapist and let them know you are planning to incorporate sound healing into your wellness routines.
Terms and conditions
Everything we talk about in a sound healing session is subject to confidentiality, no less than any other medical practitioner, or clergy. If I ask to use you in a case study, your name will be changed and no identifying details about you will be disclosed. The only time I would compromise confidentiality would be if you are likely to cause harm to yourself, a child, or anyone else. If I work with your therapist to develop treatment plans in cooperation with their sessions with you, I will need your written permission to talk to them.
Sessions last for approximately 90 minutes, and within that time you will receive between 50-60 minutes of actual sound therapy. Sometimes we need to hash things over to make sure we’re on the same page treatment wise, and that can take time. After the session, I will typically show you the drawing of what I discovered in your energy body and biofield, and you may have questions or comments about what you experienced. There may be homework to talk about as well. Please plan on 90 minutes minimum to get everything done.
Payment is due at the time of the session, though arrangements can be made, always. Communication is key. For video/remote sessions, I will send you an invoice with a due date on it. If I recommend a certain number of sessions, for example once a week for a month, we can work together to come up with a comfortable payment plan if that is not in your budget.
Do not show up to an appointment drunk or under the influence of any mind-altering drug, prescription or otherwise. I will not do the session and will invoice you for 50% anyway. Vibrational therapies can be very intense, and for your safety and well-being, as well as my own, I cannot treat you if you are impaired.
I promise you that I am 100% committed to helping you to help yourself with any of your health and well-being goals, and I will do everything in my power to give you the best possible experience. However, I cannot guarantee you will achieve your desired outcomes, because once you are off the table and out the door, I can’t control whether you do your homework, or whether you take positive steps toward healthy change. You are the only person who can guarantee your success.
By purchasing downloadable recordings or booking an appointment you acknowledge your agreement with the above.
